Just plain silly? I don't think so; you've just described the process I went through about 2 or 3 years ago. Logically I realised that others must go through the same process, but there was no-one I knew that was (they mostly work for other people), so I certainly felt very isolated and stupid for continuing on in the face of adversity. Your story is the first I've heard that I can personally identify with.

It is mentally exhausting and it takes all your will power to go on. I found I was constantly second-guessing myself at the darkest point during my struggle.

It is SO difficult to persevere in the face of mounting obstacles, so kudos to you for continuing on and making it out the other side (or at least to the point where you can see the light at the end of the tunnel).

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
